Why go on this trip?

Divine Mercy Sunday is a special day for Catholics.

It is the Sunday right after Easter.

On this day, we thank Jesus for His great mercy and love for us.

The message of Divine Mercy comes from Saint Faustina, a nun from Poland.

Thousands of people go to the Shrine for this day each year.

You can join the Mass. You can pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. You can go to confession. You can pray in peace and quiet.

You will travel with many kababayan — fellow Filipinos who share your faith.

Many people come home with a happy heart and new friends.

We did this trip in 2025. It was a blessed trip, and we want to share it with you again in 2027.

Prices

All prices are in Canadian dollars. Each price is for one person.

CAD $300

4 people share one room

CAD $399

3 people share one room

CAD $499

2 people share one room

If you come alone: We will match you with another pilgrim, so you share a room with that person. If you do not want to share a room, you can pay a solo fee. Please call Anette first to ask about the solo fee.

Deposit: CAD $100 for each person. You cannot get this money back.

How to pay: You can send an e-transfer, or you can pay cash in person.

Balance: Please pay the rest of your money on or before March 3, 2027. That is one month before the trip.

If you need to cancel: The $100 deposit cannot be given back to you. If you already paid your balance and you need to cancel, you can get money back only from your own travel insurance. The insurance will pay only if your reason is covered, like if you lose your job or you get sick. The insurance company makes that decision, not us. This is why we strongly suggest that you buy travel insurance when you book. If insurance does not work for you, you can look for another person to take your place. Please talk to Anette about it first.

The 3 days, day by day

Day 1 — Saturday, April 3: Toronto to the hotel

We pick you up in the morning. See the pickup list below.

We cross the border to the United States.

We stop at an Outlet Mall, so you can shop and stretch your legs.

Then we go to our hotel for the night. The hotel is about 10 to 15 minutes from the Shrine.

We do not go to the Shrine on Day 1. Day 2 is our full day at the Shrine, and we want you to have the whole day there, with no rush.

Day 2 — Sunday, April 4: Divine Mercy Sunday

This is the main day of the trip.

We spend the whole day at the Shrine.

You can join the Mass and all the prayers and activities for Divine Mercy Sunday.

You can take photos. You can meet and talk with other Catholics from many places.

Music and talks start at 10:00 AM. The main Mass starts at 1:00 PM.

Buses leave the Shrine at about 5:30 PM or later. No bus can leave early.

After that, we go back to the hotel for the night.

Day 3 — Monday, April 5: Mass, then home

We go to morning Mass at the Shrine.

Then we start our trip back to Toronto.

We plan to be back at the drop-off points at about 7:00 PM. The time can change if there is traffic or a long wait at the border.

What is included?

  • Bus trip to and from Stockbridge
  • 2 nights in a hotel, about 10 to 15 minutes from the Shrine
  • Some food (please read the note below)
  • Tip for the bus driver

About the food: We will give some food on the trip. In 2025, each pilgrim got a packed lunch. We also gave bottled water for the whole trip. The food may change in 2027, so we cannot promise the same food. Please bring money for your other meals and snacks.

What is NOT included?

  • Travel and health insurance — we strongly suggest you buy it. We can help you with it. Please ask Anette.
  • Your other meals and snacks
  • Things you buy for yourself, like gifts and items from the shops

Pickup places

Please be at your pickup place 15 minutes early.

On Day 3, we drop you off at these same places, at about 7:00 PM.

Please check your papers early

This is very important. Please read this part with care.

  • Bring a Canadian passport or your PR card.
  • If you do not have a Canadian passport, you need a US visa too.
  • Please check your papers now, not at the last minute.

If the US border officer does not let you enter the United States, we cannot change that. We are not responsible for that, and we feel sad for you if it happens. So please check your papers early.

What to bring

  • Your passport or PR card, and your US visa if you need one
  • Your rosary and a prayer book
  • Good walking shoes with a strong grip. Please do not wear high heels. The ground can be wet and muddy in April.
  • Warm clothes you can wear in layers. April in the mountains can be cold, wet, or sunny — all in one day.
  • An umbrella, just in case it rains
  • Some US dollars, for food, candles, gifts, and your offering at Mass
  • A bag for your shopping
Please note about walking: There is some walking at the Shrine. You will walk up a small hill on a paved path. Then you will walk down a grass hill that is steep in some parts. The grass can be uneven. If you use a wheelchair, please bring your own, and please travel with a friend or family member who can help you. There is a special area for the Mass for people in wheelchairs.

Our 2025 trip

We did this pilgrimage for the first time in April 2025.

51 pilgrims came with us. We left Toronto early in the morning, and our border crossing went well.

We were the first bus to arrive at the Shrine on Divine Mercy Sunday.

Our group joined the Mass, prayed the Chaplet, and spent a happy day at the Shrine.
